Board Members / Volunteers Needed

Dear Knights Family Members,

The Canandaigua Knights Youth Hockey Conference is a non-profit membership corporation. The Knights have been providing opportunities for youth in our community to participate in the great sport of ice hockey for over 50 years!

We need your help!

Our organization is 100% volunteer-based and cannot continue to exist without active participation by its membership.

Our coaches are certainly our most visible group of volunteers and we should all be especially grateful for these talented individuals - many of whom selflessly donate 10 – 20 hours per week in direct support of 300+ players on dozens of teams.

However, there are countless other volunteers that we don’t see, but make just as much of a difference: ice schedulers; referee schedulers; uniform managers; league representatives; registrar; event coordinators (like our annual golf tournament on June 6th - save the date!); equipment managers; and many other activities that happen, year-in and year-out, in order for our organization to continue to serve the youth in our community.

We know that most of our children are involved in multiple activities that oftentimes requires a tremendous amount of coordination at the family level. But many of the volunteer roles mentioned require no more than 3 – 5 hours per month. Some positions can be done from home. Others would only require attending 1 meeting per month.

Follow this link to a list of position descriptions: Knights Brief Job Descriptions. These are just a few of many opportunities to actively participate in our organization. Please look it over and give serious consideration to lending some time and talent. You don’t need to be a hockey expert, just someone willing to chip in for a great cause – the growth and development of our children.

We are always open to and grateful for the addition of new board members and volunteers. If you, or someone you know, is interested in working with a great group of hard-working and dedicated individuals please contact us today!

Interested individuals should contact Greg Van Laeken at 585-216-5239 or
