Albert S. Knight Award
This award is given in memory of Marine Corporal Albert S. Knight for whom this conference was named. Albert Knight was Ontario County’s first casualty of the Vietnam War. He was an avid skater who wished that anyone interested in skating, would have the opportunity to do so. In support of Al’s wish, his family was instrumental in establishing the Canandaigua Knights Hockey Conference. This award is traditionally given to a member of the “High School Age Division” who is in their last year of hockey. The recipient is chosen for their outstanding all around hockey abilities; efforts during the season, both on and off the ice. This person displays an exceptional sense of fair play, good judgment and sportsmanship.
Congratulations to our 2009 recipient:
Eli Smith
