The Knights strive to create a fun hockey experience while optimizing player development.  The chart below is a guideline to help you find the correct program.  Knights players will be placed on teams with similar skill level to increase player development, build confidence and have fun. 

For children brand new to hockey or skating, our beginner hockey program is the place to start!

Our house program categorizes teams as Red, White and Blue.  Evaluations consisting of a series of drills will be used for coaches to place kids on the appropriate skill related team to drive player development.

• Red  - Highest level of competition and rosters are comprised of the older players with 2+ years experience and having advanced level skill set.  Teams are generally selected via formal evaluations.
• White - Team is competitive and comprised those with two or less years of hockey experience.  Typically having an intermediate level skill set
• Blue  - Teams are comprised of younger players and/or those new to the age level.  Typically having a novice level skill set

Our Travel teams hold tryouts in March/April for the following season.   Any player not selected is welcome to register and play on a house team so long as they are being offered.

Below is a guideline for your child's placement.  Knights Hockey does not offer teams at all ages.  House teams are only offered if there is enough interest to meet the USA Hockey recommended roster size for that age group as well as a coach interested in leading the team.
