Beginner Hockey
The Knights' Beginner Program is geared towards boys and girls, ages four through nine. No previous hockey or skating experience is required. Players will become comfortable on the ice while learning balance and the basics of skating and hockey all while having fun!
Program includes:
- (8) 50 minute instructional sessions
- Jersey, Socks and Stick to keep
- Groups separated by skill level and/or age
- USA Hockey ADM Model oriented instruction
- Additional opportunity to skate with our U6/U8 teams
Loaner equipment is available for an $125 refundable deposit*
Note: Players must have a valid USA Hockey Registration number before registering.
2023 - 2024 Dates/Times
- Session (1) Fall: Saturdays October - December 50-min ice slot at either at 8am or 9am depending on group placement.
- Session (2) Winter: Saturdays January through February, 50-min ice slot at either at 8am or 9am depending on group placement.
Sign up for 1 session for $125 (8 weeks) or both sessions for $225 (16 weeks)

*Equipment Loan Program
Equipment is available for loan. Details to try on and pick up equipment will be sent out by email prior to the first session. Limited quantities are available and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Equipment includes: helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, elbow pads, pants, shin guards, and bag. You must provide: skates and mouth guard. A fully refundable $125 deposit is required prior to pick up. Hockey skates can be borrowed at the Civic Center for each session or new/used hockey skates can be purchased for a nominal fee at various stores.
